A deck should feel solid underfoot, drain properly and stand up to Melbourne’s weather. We build decks with correct footings, treated framing at the right spacing, stainless or galvanised fixings, and the ventilation timber needs underneath so it doesn’t cup or rot.

What we build
- Merbau and hardwood decks – spotted gum, blackbutt and merbau decks, oiled and finished.
- Composite decking – low-maintenance boards that won’t splinter or need oiling. Ideal around pools.
- Front porches and deck steps – wide, comfortable steps that lift a home’s street appeal.
- Pool decks – decking around lap and plunge pools, with hidden fixings.
- Timber screens, planter boxes and storage boxes – built to match your deck.

Decking FAQs
Composite or timber?
Timber has a warm, natural look and is easy to repair, but it needs oiling every year or so. Composite costs more up front but needs almost no maintenance and is splinter-free, so it’s great around pools and for busy families.
Do I need a permit for a deck?
In Victoria, decks more than 800 mm above ground, or attached decks over a certain size, can need a building permit. We’ll let you know at the quote if yours does.
